As the dust settled, the 2006 Wrangler NFR came to a close with a record crowd of 18,224 in attendance the final night. During the course of the 10 days, contestants won world titles in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.
